Sixth Grade Math (Period 1)

The Big Ideas Math program used in sixth grade is a balanced approach to learning with  real life problem solving situations. Students in sixth grade math will have equal exposure to discovery learning and guided direct instruction. Each class will begin with a problem solving activity that will provide students with the opportunity to explore, question, explain, and at times work collaboratively with classmates to solve problems.
