In Mrs. Johnston's 6th-grade science question, the Key Question was, "Is nest building an innate or learned behavior?" After reading about both kinds of behaviors, the 6th-grade science students created a nest to protect their egg. The students learned that nest building is innate (something they are born with); however, the animal can learn to build a better nest over time.
